Welcome and thank you for choosing Woodland Star Charter School. We are so grateful you are investing in your child’s education for a lifetime of learning! Woodland Star Charter School is a Waldorf-inspired public school serving families with children from Kindergarten through eight grade. We offer a developmentally based curriculum, integrating rigorous academics and the arts. Our goal is to educate children to become creative thinkers, ready to positively influence the world around them.
About Woodland Star Educational Foundation
In 2000, Woodland Star Educational Foundation (WSEF) was founded to support Woodland Star Charter School and to make sure our school is able to keep offering all the above. WSEF is a committed group of parents and faculty working together to financially support our school through the Family Giving Program and several other fundraisers throughout the year. In the past we have raised money to pay for supplies to build a kindergarten playground, purchase books for classroom libraries, contribute to the purchase of shade structures for solar power at the school, build a "big" student playground, and landscape the campus with native plants.
We work hard at the Foundation so that the funds received from our fundraising efforts are able to maintain our Waldorf inspired program. These funds are solely invested into the school in many ways and our main goal is to support and enhance essential programs and priorities of a Waldorf education, which are our specialty programs, which are now infrequently found in traditional public education
